Our house is open all year round. Autumn and Spring can be nice times to travel to Ireland: The air temperature is not much different from Summer, and the sea reaches its highest water-temperatures in early September. The “cold half” of the year is the main season for Surfers.
The Winter can be pretty wet and cold though – but most of all it offers solitude: if you like walking the beaches in a stiff breeze all by yourself and going to a Bar for a Hot Toddy afterwards, if you’d fancy walking the moors amidst snow-capped mountains, this is your time of year. Flights and hired cars will be cheaper, bookings for restaurants no problem, and the social and cultural offers continue.
