Our House

Welcome to Ballyshannon!

The small town of Ballyshannon is located in the very south of County Donegal, bordering the Counties Leitrim, Sligo and Fermanagh. It is the  “Gateway to Donegal”, and the most easily accessible town in the county, which is still Ireland’s most remote region. Ballyshannon is the ideal starting point for tours exploring the north-west of Ireland with all its beaches, moors and mountains.

What you will find in and around Ballyshannon:

  • Peace and quiet, marvellous beaches, the best golf courses, beautiful walks and promising fishing grounds.
  • A coast famous for its Surfers, with ideal conditions for beginners as well as competitive water sports enthusiasts. A growing number of Kite Surfers discover our coastlines as well — and often enough they find spots that they have totally to themselves.

Our small townhouse Navone Mews is located close to the centre of town, yet completely quiet and shielded from the street by a large wooden gate.

Navone Mews consists of 2 small flats (60 and 54 square metres) with a total of 3 bedrooms, which can accommodate up to six adults. There are two small, fully equipped bathrooms with bath and shower, a fully equipped kitchen, a large and a slightly smaller living room. It has central heating, but if you prefer, you can also use the two open fires.

All shops and pubs are within walking distance. Good, reliable bus connections to the north (Donegal, Derry), south (Sligo, Westport, Galway) and east (Enniskillen, Belfast, Dublin) and first-class road links ensure good accessibility. The next neighbours to the west hold Canadian passports: Ballyshannon is located on the Atlantic coast and the nearest sandy beaches are only 6 kilometres away.

The booking calendar on AirBnB is always up to date – or you just drop us an email via our contact-page.

We would be delighted to welcome you as our guests!
